The center includes a neo-gothic palace and a modern hotel, which will house the participants of the conference. The board starts with dinner on Monday, July 8th, and ends with breakfast on Sunday July 14th. You can arrive and leave about noon on these days, if convenient (lunch will be provided on request). For more information about the Conference Center, please visit its website, where you will also find maps and travel instructions. English is spoken at the reception desk, which is open 7/24, and may answer your questions and accomodate requests at +48 618 135 187. If you plan to bring an accompanying person with you, please email the organizers. The capacity of the Conference Center is limited. Please register early.

Participation cost

The participation cost is 210 euro or 280 US dollars or 840 Polish zlotys if paid by June 15. This covers conference materials, full board and lodging at the Conference Center, local transportation and social activities. Thanks to support from KNOW, the fee for graduate students based in Poland is 600 Polish zlotys if paid by June 15. The fee increases to 240 euro or 320 US dollars or 960 Polish zlotys if paid later.

For bank transfers, please use one of the accounts listed here in the ‘Będlewo meetings’ column. Euro, US dollar and Polish zloty are accepted in the transfers. It is important that you provide in the description of the transfer: your name, the name and date of the conference (Satellite Summer School to the 7th International Conference on Lévy Processes: Theory and Applications, 9-13 July 2013), and the name of your institution. The data will be used to print your invoice, which can be picked up at the reception desk in Będlewo. If you pay on arrival, then cash (euro, US dollars and Polish zloty) and all major credit cards are accepted at the reception desk of the Conference Center.

There are travel support opportunities for participants of the School, who also attend the 7th International Conference on Lévy Processes: Theory and Applications in Wrocław, 15-19 July 2013.

Talks and posters

There are two main lecture halls in the conference center, of capacity 60 and 150. Each hall has a blackboard, a computer projector and an overhead projector. In the bigger lecture hall the computer projector is a better option than the blackboard. We plan to have 1 lecture x 50 minutes x 5 days by each of the 4 instructors of the School. In the afternoon we will have posters and short talks by other participants who wish to present them. These talks will last 20 minutes each and will be assigned in the order submitted to the organizers. To submit a talk, please register: after a confirmation email, log in at the Abstracts tab and provide your abstract for our consideration. If we exceed available time, only posters will be accepted, so please submit your talk early. Please notify us if you choose to use the blackboard. The poster stands will be available for you in the reading room near the reception desk from  the beginning of the conference. We put no restrictions on the size of poster, but size about A0 is recommended.

Transportation from Poznań and to Wrocław

Typically, when going from abroad to Poznań, you will arrive at Poznań Ławica International Airport (POZ). You may also get to Poznań by train, and then you will arrive at Poznań Railway Station. The best way to then get to the Conference Center in Będlewo (approximately 30 km away from the airport or the railway station) is to take taxi.

For participants of the School, the reception of the Conference Center in Będlewo may arrange for taxi from the airport or the railway station in Poznań free of charge. Local participants may also go by train to Mosina and get taxi from there.

If you want the reception to send taxi, please provide the time of your arrival at Poznań Airport or at Poznań railway station or Mosina railway station in your online registration form (or send an email to the organizers), as well as any further details that may help (e.g. your flight number or your train number). You do not need to enter these data at the time you register, you may update them at any time until 1 July 2013. Would you request taxi, you will receive an email early in July with detailed information on where the taxi driver will wait for you at the airport, or at the railway stations. Please also record the telephone number to the reception deck +48 618 135 187 for the case of delays, lost luggage etc.

If after the School in Będlewo you go to the 7th International Conference on Lévy Processes: Theory and Applications in Wrocław, 15-19 July 2013, we will provide transportation on the morning of Sunday July 14th. Flying to Poznań and from Wrocław may be the most convenient option for international participants who want to take part in both the School and the Conference. For your information, Wrocław is 3h from Poznań by train, bus or car, so flying to and from Poznań or to and from Wrocław is reasonable, too.
