Location of the Conference Center in Bedlewo:
The conference center in Bedlewo is located about 30 km south of Poznan (a middle size city in central Poland). Poznan has direct train connections with Warsaw and Berlin (both about 3 hours). Its airport (aiport code POZ) is connected by a regular service with several European capitals and also the airport in Warsaw.
Arrival and departure:
Detailed information on the transfer to the Bedlewo Conference Center from the airports and train stations has been sent to you by email (Bus table). Please contact one of the organisers in case you did not get the email. Additional information:
From Airport by taxi:
A taxi driver will wait for you in the Arrival hall near Kantor (currency exchange) office at the time listed in the last column of the Bus table.
From Railawy Station by taxi:
A taxi driver will wait for you in the main hall near ticket office number one (Kasa 1) at the time listed in the last column of the Bus table.
From Airport by minibus or bus:
A bus will stop near the entrance to the airport. Behind the windscreen of the bus you will see a sheet of paper with the inscription "Conference Bedlewo". The bus is scheduled at the time listed in the last column of the Bus table, but the driver will wait for all the listed participants.
From Railway Station by minibus or bus:
In the railway station Poznań Główny a bus cannot stay near the main building but it will be waiting for you on the side of the street near historical building called Dworzec Letni, see a map. Behind the windscreen of the bus you will see a sheet of paper with the inscription "Conference Bedlewo". The bus is scheduled at the time listed in the last column of the Bus table, but the driver will wait for all the listed participants.

From Warsaw Chopin Airport (aircode WAW):
1. using Warsaw public transport (bus line 175) get to Warszawa Centralna Railway Station (Dw. Centralny bus stop) [ticket costs 4,40 PLN]; then by train go to Poznań Główny Railway Station [60—130 PLN] and use one of the options in From Poznań Główny Railway Station section.
From Poznań Ławica Airport (aircode POZ):
1. by taxi; we recommend using TAXI EXPRESS which cooperates with the conference centre [around 200 PLN = 50 Euro];
2. using public transport (bus line L) get to Poznań Główny Railawy Station (Poznań Główny bus station) [4,60 PLN] and use one of the options in From Poznań Główny Railway Station section.
From Poznań Główny Railway Station:
1. by taxi; we recommend using TAXI EXPRESS which cooperates with the conference centre [around 200 PLN];
2. by train to Mosina Railway Station [13,50 PLN]; then by taxi to the conference centre [around 40 PLN].

Money and shopping
Polish currency is zloty (zł, PLN), which is divided into 100 groszy (1 zł = 100 gr). Banknotes and coins used in Poland can be found here.
You can change money in numerous bureaux de change or in banks. Currency exchange points are usually located in city centres, at railway stations, airports, etc. 1 EUR is approximately 4 PLN, 1 USD approximately 3,7 PLN.
Debit and credit cards (Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron) are widely accepted. There should be no problem when paying by card in supermarkets, at filling stations, in restaurants or hotels. Only in newsagent’s kiosks, local shops and sometimes railway stations (!) you will need to have cash. Cash machines are numerous in bigger cities.
Travel and visas
Poland is a member of the Schengen zone, hence you do not need a visa when travelling from another Schengen-zone county. Citizens from other countries may need a visa. The precise regulations can be found on the web page of Poland's missions abroad.
