The conference starts on Monday morning, July 21, 2014 and ends on Friday evening, July 25, 2014.
The conference fee, including full accommodation in the Conference Center in Będlewo from Sunday evening, July 20, 2014 to Friday evening, July 25, 2014 (with optional extension for Friday/Saturday night, July 25/26), a conference dinner and a bus from/to Poznań to/from the Conference Center, is 850 PLN (approx. 200 EUR at current rates). The fee can be paid in advance to the account of the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (see the account numbers) or directly in the Conference Center in Będlewo during the conference (by cash or credit card). The conference fee for invited speakers will be covered by organizers.
We will be able to provide a financial support (reimbursement of the conference fee) for a limited number of participants, especially for young researchers and Ph.D. students. To apply for such a support, one should check an appropriate field in the registration form and (in case of young researchers and Ph.D. students) send CV or scientific supervisor opinion to the conference e-mail address. Please note that we are not able to reimburse travel expenses.
The conference takes place in the Mathematical Research and Conference Center in Będlewo near Poznań. The Center, which is a facility of the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Stefan Banach International Mathematical Center, is located at the border of the beautiful region of the National Park of Wielkopolska, among forests and lakes. The participants will be accommodated in the conference hotel in Będlewo. The meals will be served at the Będlewo Palace, which is a part of the Center. Please note that in case of a large number of applications, we will not be able to provide single room accommodation for all participants.
The hotel reception is open 24 hours a day. The lecture rooms are equipped with computer projectors, overhead projectors (suitable for displaying trasparences/printed paper/handwriting) and blackboards. There is a Wi-Fi internet connection available throughout the Center buildings. You can use a reading room, computer rooms, leisure room (table tennis, billiard) and a bar. Note that the Center is located outside the city – for shopping or sightseeing you can go to Poznań (half an hour ride by taxi).
The currency used in Poland is Polish zloty (PLN). Current rates are approx. 1 USD = 3.2 PLN, 1 EUR = 4.2 PLN, 1 GBP = 5 PLN. Please note that there are no ATMs in the Conference Center.
The weather in Będlewo in July should be sunny and warm/hot, with temperature 20–25 degrees Celsius (70–80 Fahrenheit), but you can expect also some rainy and chilly days. The Center is located at the edge of the forest and lake area. It is possible to rent a bike at the Center. The nearest lake (Jezioro Dymaczewskie) is some 2 km away.
