Local Limit Theorem in negative curvature
Abstract:
We are interested in the long time behavior of the heat kernel on the universal cover of a compact negatively curved manifold. We want to present the result, to give some background and to explain the techniques involved in the proof, which uses hyperbolic potential theory and hyperbolic dynamics.
